Dormire

DORMIRE (Italian verb: to sleep). In this department there are beds, dressing tables, wardrobes, seats and a variety of bed linens and pillows.

Audrey Giratoro was until recently the manager of Dormire, and the store was sorry to see her go – all the staff wished her well in her new career as a paramedic. 

Audrey was always the person who staff would go to if they had a headache, or a cut – she kept a supply of aspirin along with plasters and small bandages in her handbag at all times. When a customer fainted, Audrey knew exactly what to do.   

In a display that changes regularly, there is a pink bedroom suite and a blue bedroom suite. The duvets and matching or mix and match designs complement the suites.  Cotton duvet covers with matching pillow cases in a lovely variety of Floral, natural leaf patterns like the blue set – and snazzy vintage multi colour striped cushion covers – make Dormire department a lively visual display. Warm knitted blankets and throws add a  homely touch.  Much of the furniture is vintage upcycled.
